After five years of sharing photos for the weekly photo sharing event #FriFotos, it is with a certain amount of sadness that I prepare this, the last FriFotos post. A few weeks ago the organizers announced that they were discontinuing this Twitter tradition, a tradition whose weekly theme inspired me every week for five years to create a new and unique photo series. I will continue creating Friday photo series, but it will be without the creative prompting of the larger travel community. Instead of being too sad though, I thought I’d share photos I’ve taken around the world that have been part of the FriFotos themes over the last five years – fitting for today’s theme MEMORIES.
